Clive, who steps down after 30 years in the role, has played an integral part in the company’s development, seeing the company move to new premises and invest heavily into the latest state-of-the-art CNC machine tools when others have either been more cautious or have fallen by the wayside.
This positive strategy will be continued under the leadership of Kevin Rees who, after joining T&O in 2009 as Production Manager, has had a huge input on making changes. In 2014 he joined the Board of Directors as the company’s Production Director and since then has helped steer T&O through the new quality standard AS91000C and Fit for Nuclear.
Clive said: “Kevin has played a key role in the challenges facing T&O and I feel confident that the business is in very safe hands. We have built an excellent team with high standards and I am very proud of what we have achieved and I look forward to supporting Kevin from a new role of Business Development Director.”
Kevin, who is proud to be a time-served engineer, said: “2018 promises to be an interesting year – we have invested into every sector of our business including our exceptional workforce and I feel privileged to be only the third Managing Director since the company became limited in 1943 – we are in a very strong position to cope with whatever we are faced with next and we see a great future for British engineering and manufacturing which is very highly regarded.”
